Digital Engagement Specialist
The Spokesman-Review, a family-owned newspaper in the Inland Northwest, is seeking to fill a part-time Digital Engagement Specialist to assist in creating and implementation of communication between The Spokesman-Review and our readers, subscribers, commercial clients, and prospects via digital channels. In this role, the Digital Engagement Specialist will be responsible for assisting in creation and deployment of communication via such channels as email, social media, and website.
The Digital Engagement specialist will work directly with the Digital Audience and Engagement Manager on the overarching goal of increasing measurable engagement on The Spokesman-Review's digital products, executing email campaigns, and refining other digital communication channels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in deployment of email communication to subscribers, readers, advertisers and prospects from creation through delivery.
Launch campaigns via social media and other existing and/or emerging digital channels.
Test, resolve and deploy email communications through Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including making changes utilizing HTML.
Assist in changes to all digital acquisition channels including email, social media and pay meter including utilizing HTML/CCS/JS.
Update, adjust and deploy monthly and biweekly email creatives.
Assist with adjustments, changes and updates to digital pay meter.
Attend departmental and company meetings as required.
Be an active and positive participant in meetings and foster a creative and collaborative atmosphere.
Other duties as assigned.
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Basic to intermediate proficiency with HTML/CC/JS.
Able to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Superb organizational skills.
Email management ability.
Newspaper or media experience helpful.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED
Two years of college credit preferred, but not required
Previous email or social media management preferred, but not required.
